WHAT TO BRING
1. Your own lunch, snacks and drinks.
We will provide water. Catering is not available or in our budget right now. To respect the animals at the sanctuary, we kindly ask you to pack vegan food without animal products.
2. Protective wear like hat, close-toed shoes, work gloves.
Consider the heat. Sunscreen, hats, a towel. Think about your hands and feet.
3. Extra change of clothes and shoes.
You may get wet, dirty, slobbered on, step in something. Bring a bag for your dirties after volunteering.
4. Treats, Toys or Supplies
We will have cleaning supplies & equipment. If you feel the need to bring things, we have a standard list of items we always can use and appreciate, doesn’t have to be brand new: SARA Wishlist.jpg
5. Fruit & veggies for the animals
The pigs, cows, horses appreciate vegetables or fruit. You’ll make a friend for life. Carrots, apples, kale, bananas, watermelon, corn or any produce for the animals except onions & citrus. For dogs and cats, dry food only. No cans please.
6. Smart phone or camera for lots of pictures to share.
Think about where to keep your phone, charger, battery pack while working. We always need cute pics of animals. We adore sharing volunteer stories on social media.
